At David Crumpton, DDS, in Trophy Club, we understand how important it is to see how your new smile will look before making any decisions on a specific cosmetic dentistry procedure. That’s why we offer our patients a Trial Smile, which allows you to preview your new smile.
What Is a Trial Smile?
A Trail Smile is a temporary set of veneers that are placed over your teeth. These veneers are made of a cosmetic resin material that is molded to show you how your new smile will appear. This is done in our Trophy Club office, and no numbing or tooth preparation is required. Once you are happy with your new smile, we will work with you to develop a treatment plan to achieve your desired results.
Am I A Candidate for a Trial Smile?
If you have gaps between your teeth, stained or yellow teeth, cracked teeth or have missing teeth, then you are a candidate for a Trial Smile. During your consultation, Dr. Crumpton will take a mold of your teeth. This mold will be used to create the temporary veneers that will be placed over your current teeth. Once you are satisfied with the results, the molds will be sent to our lab, where the permanent veneers will be crafted.
What Are The Costs?
At David Crumpton, DDS, we will work with you to develop a treatment plan that can fit your budget. Have you lost a tooth due to accident, injury, or illness? If so, a dental implant might be a good solution to replace the missing tooth. It is important to “close the gap” between missing teeth to prevent bacteria and other germs from forming in the open gum.
Trophy Club cosmetic dentist David Crumpton, DDS, offers his patients dental implants. A dental implant is an artificial tooth that is made from medical-grade, titanium steel. The final results are natural-looking and your friends and family won’t notice that it’s not your real tooth.
The most common type of dental implant is the root implant. This type of implant requires several visits to our cosmetic dental practice in Trophy Club. During the initial consultation with our cosmetic dentist, we will determine the best type of implant based on the location of the missing tooth. At the following appointment, the dental implant will be surgically inserted into your jaw. Once this surgery is completed, the implant base will need to properly heal. This can take between three and eight months. After your jawbone has healed, you will return to our Trophy Club dental office to have the implant fitted with a new tooth.
Dental implants are not typically covered by dental insurance. At David Crumpton, DDS, want to help you get the smile you deserve. That’s why we offer financing through CareCredit and offer our own in-house dental benefits plan. We will work with you to develop a payment plan that best fits your budget.

Twice-Yearly Dental Exam & Cleaning
If you and your family members haven’t gotten your teeth cleaned for a second time this year you are losing out on maximizing your dental benefits. Most dental insurance plans include covering the cost for a dental exam, x-rays, and teeth cleaning. By missing out on the second teeth cleaning, you could be more prone to gum disease or have a cavity that has gone undetected and now requires a root canal. By having regular cleanings at David Crumpton, DDS, in Trophy Club, you can avoid serious conditions from developing that result in costly treatments.
Start a treatment in 2016, complete the treatment in 2017
If you need dental work that isn’t fully covered by your dental insurance, you can help reduce your out-of-pocket expenses by maximizing your benefits in 2016 and completing the treatment in 2017, when your dental benefits reset. This is beneficial if you need extensive restorative services including a dental implant, a dental crown, or dental bridge. These procedures require multiple visits, and by starting treatment in November or December and completed treatment in January or February allows you to maximize your benefits and reduce out-of-pocket expenses.
